The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want
Psalm 23:1
When David wrote this Psalm, it is said that he was experiencing a difficult time in his life. We often wander, “how can a king have a bad time? He owns everything and has more than enough.” Yes, physically David had more than enough; however, he was concerned with his ‘Spiritual Needs’.
He often found himself on the opposite end of where he should have been. David struggled with his lustful appetite. If it pleased the flesh, he wanted it!
I must say that we are in that same boat! Our eyes are alluring us and our passions are betraying us. Common sense however is nowhere to be found in many cases! How can I say this you may ask (Hum) maybe because I have been there or from pure observation or osmosis. Either way I have acquired the knowledge to know that I need the Lord as my Shepherd everyday of my life!
In order to meet the Lord we must accept Him as our Lord and Shepherd.
